Certified Applications DBAs are able to effectively manage the overlying database applications, including file system management, installation, maintenance using AD utilities, patching and cloning. They are also proficient with the underlying database architecture and configuration, including managing the database instance, managing objects and storage structures, performing backup and recovery, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
