PMON "failed to acquire latch" during shutdown
Above message in found in alert_sid.log file during database shutdown.
It is reported as bug.
Database 10gr1(10.1.0.5.0)
OS Windows 32bit
Check Metalink Note: 4632780.8, BUG# 4632780
Fixed in 10.2.0.2 or 11g.
